Join the talented Marissa Esperanza Catubig and I at a "Special Evening wtih Oscar Penaranda and Friends" on Wednesday, 4/24 at 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Bindlestiff Studio!

Come out, come share some "kwento, kwento" ("talk story") with the legendary poet/author/community activist/teacher, Oscar Peñaranda at the one and only Bindlestiff Studio in the South of Market! On a personal note, if you don't all already know, Oscar is my Tito on my mother's side and has been a great mentor to me for over 30 years, so this event is very special to me and would mean so much if you can come, as he shares his stories to the FilAm community-at-large.

We will have special evening of poetry, short stories, and live music. Various guest readers include Chris Mayrena (Hyperaje Productions), music by Sheila Alix (Sheilani) and Lendl San Jose (Ukelenny), and Mr. P himself. Admission is sliding scale of $5-25+.

50% of proceeds will go to help keeping Bindlestiff Studio running strong.
