SAMPAGUITA!

The Sampaguita, (Arabian Jasmine), is the national Flower of these countries!



This flower is the most and highly respected flower species of the Philippines, Symbolizes
peace, purity, humility and strength.

The Sampaguita believed to come from the Filipino word “sumpa kita” meaning “I promise you ”.

The sweet -smelling white flower of sampaguita are used as Garland, Filipino string the flower with leis, corsages and crown and distill it oil and sell them in store, street mostly outside the churches.


It is used to welcome guest, or as an offering adornment in religious altar. In early days sampaguita garland are exchanged by young couples as a pledge of their love.
