Polvorons were traditionally prepared from September to January and for special occassions?

Polvoron means "dust" in Spanish.

It is said to have started during the American occupation to use up the huge amount of powered milk they brought into the country.

Today, Polvoron is one of the country's all-time favorite "pasalubong!"
